Currently, CEP 2.4 is required along with both expansions and 1.69
We run a customized version of HCR with 8 game hours between rest, limited rest healing with inns offering better rest than in the field, food/skinning/cooking, 0 to -10 bleed system, Fugue Plane death with resurrection required (NPC clerics available), Paladin detect evil and badge of courage, ranger tracking ability, etc.
Additional custom wildshapes for druids (system created just for The Vast)
Auto-calm hostile animals on sight to make neutral to you and your party with Animal Empathy skill - higher skill affects stronger animals (system created just for The Vast)
3E Crafting
Personal housing with persistent storage available to good role-players at higher levels
A number of custom spell changes listed on our website
Magic Items: Low to Medium (the best items are DM created treasure or special rewards through quests)
Combat XP: Rapid at level 1 and 2, then slowing dramatically with each level after 4
Custom random treasure system (created just for The Vast)
About The Vast (in brief):
The setting is at the foot of, and into, the Earthspur Mountains, north of the River Vesper at the far northern end of The Vast where goblins, orcs, and other foul evils besiege the land.
Our objective is to be a well-balanced role-playing community that incorporates story-lines developed by both DMs and players; feel free to create personal stories as you role-play. The DMs are listening to your imaginative play, and are interested in the work you put into the development of a personality for your character. They may (and do) take actions based on things you say or do as you build your character over time; your actions may affect the course of DM run plots. A DM may award experience for the effort you put into role-playing your character as well as quests and adventures.
